I have been teaching the art of bonsai since 2005

Danilo Scursatone was born in San Maurizio Canavese (Turin-Italy) on 7th January 1963.
In 1988 he began his education in the art of Bonsai and Chinese/Japanese culture.
In 1990 at Castagno Bonsai Center, he met M. Bandera, International Bonsai teacher with whom he acquired the first concepts about Bonsai Art and technical aspects of working on imported bonsai, in particular on broad-leaf trees.

In 1992 he met master G. Genotti at his one-man exhibition and asked the master to teach him bonsai techniques. Afterwards this first course he has frequented the master’s Bonsai garden, applying all the techniques on bonsai conifers and hardwoods, including cultivation and harvesting from the wild.
Danilo has been a major contributor to the BCI magazine, authoring many articles covering diverse topics.
"I work with great enthusiasm since 2009 with Bonsai Clubs International as a great believer in the universality of the message of Bonsai that finds its home in this very prestigious, not-for-profit association that includes many types of cultures and people. I hope to continue in the time to offer my experience obtained from the study and direct practice day by day of this art. I welcome with great enthusiasm the experiences of other artists, with whom I share a passion for bonsai, that allow me to grow every day on the way of bonsai. I thank all those who are interested in my articles and my work rewarding with their approval, this leads me to improve myself every day and offer an experience enriched and shared."
